Great Grandfather Gord commenced the proceedings @ 1300 with 17 Banshee’s gathered at 443MH Hornets Nest.  A minute of silence was observed for those who have past and those ailing.  Discussion as to future meetings was discussed and those present agreed that the 1300 start time should be the norm.  We were provided with the artist conception of the soon to be started new 443 facilities to accommodate the Cyclone CH148, which will change the face of YYJ’s west camp.   The remainder of a pleasant afternoon was enjoyed by all even those that couldn’t remember the punch line of their jokes.  Two jugs of Al’s finest ripple were drawn for and the recipients were Alice and Beryl.  Thinking ahead we are aiming for Dec. 01/02 for our Xmas gathering likely at Glen Meadows.

Upcoming Gatherings:

Thursday July 14th our Annual Picnic @ Heritage Acres @ 1300 [1PM]

Those attending are asked to provide Edith with their preference of chicken or steak by 08 July.  You are also reminded to bring a sturdy plate and utensils of meal destruction, lawn chairs and of course the beverage of your choice.   Wine will accompany the meal.

*

Thursday September 22nd we will again gather after our customary August break at 443MH Hornets Nest @1300, Edith advises Pizza will be on the menu.

NOTE:

Should any folks receiving this transmission as they say in PEI “are from away” and plan to be in the area July 14th you are more than welcome to join our merry bunch at Heritage Acres.  Please advise Edith you preference of main course.

Ramblings:

With the changes to our organization in 2011 Banshee is holding its own, with roughly 50% attendance of those still on the books to our gatherings.   The gatherings have become more of a meet & greet than formal meetings but we still touch base with our historical agenda.  As we appear secure in our gathering place for the next year or so I suspect that we will continue until attendance wanes to a level dictating we dissolve.

So to all you folks out there in ether land Banshee hopes you have an enjoyable summer (if it ever really begins) and we will be back at you in the fall.  Yours Aye PocW
