January 26th found 12 Banshee members gathering @ the Smith’s filling their recreation room were: Jean Muir, Stoney Jackson, Coleen Jewell, Iris Bailey, Vic Collis, Barb & Bernie Lahey, Jean Howe, Betty Hadden, RL & Edith Smith (hosts with the most) and Paul Peacey.

Surprise of all surprises our hostess Edith requested a Pin Count and even filled the MAA position, 4 defaulters were discovered.

We had a minute of silence for those departed and presently skirmishing with the medical community.  We held a draw for a bottle of Ripple and Coleen Jewell carried off the booty.

Before I forget plans for the Sea King 50th in 2013 appear to be rapidly ramping up. For those interested the Web Site is: http://www.seaking50.ca/Home.html .

On the subject of electrons the POC has been getting a number of bounces when sending emails to the western crowd so if any of you out there have current or new email addresses for the far flung CNAG crowd who might be interested  in my monthly pecking please let me know, the email address is below.  VMT in advance.

Work continues to progress on the new home for Maritime Helicopters West.  They must have deposited and packed down half a mountain of gravel.  I am guessing they will soon be pouring the footings for the new facility.

Our February meeting will be held at 443MH and it will mark eight years we have gathered at the 443MH Sqn. Hornets Nest once the home of Club 33.  How time flies!

So we shall gather again on February 23rd @ 443 @ 1300.  All folks are requested to bring an appy for munching enjoyment.

For you folks in TROC Victoria has received it’s token snowfall for 2012 and the great snowplough from the sky rapidly removed it but does not seem to realize it’s job is done.

Yours, in Naval Air.  Paul
