ATLANTIC ZONE REPORT

Activity Update from CNAG Atlantic.

CNAG Atlantic Chapter met August 28^th in the WO/Sgt’s Mess Shearwater with 35 members present (the hurricane scare kept some away). Plans were presented and discussed for the Fall meetings - especially the Mini Reunion scheduled for October.

Gerry Young volunteered to lay the wreath for the Battle of Britain on behalf of CNAG September 18^th at Sullivans Pond.

Following the regular meeting, everyone enjoyed a Steak BBQ and all the trimmings. Thanks Yvon for organizing this. We reminisced and got caught up on various summer events.

The 4 October meeting of CNAG Atlantic was in the format of a Mini Reunion held in the Shearwater Aviation Museum. About 55 members enjoyed coffee, tea and muffins at 10a.m. followed by a Memorial Service led by Minnie and Buck Rogers. The ‘Grog Crew’ of Dave Warner, Gerry Young and ‘Buck’ issued “Up spirits” in true Navy tradition. Brunch was served about 12:30 with fish chowder, chilli, rolls etc on the menu. After everyone dined, a regular meeting was held. Wonderful music from ‘Our Era’ was provided by Jeff Collins (rocky’s son) to conclude a fun day for all who attended.
